Daily 10,000 people reach the age of 65. By 2030, one in five Americans will be over 65, by 2035 there will be more people over 65 than under the age of 18! The Baby boomer and older generations are to be mobilized for ministry! Rather than retirement, we seek to re-tool, re-invent, and re-imagine what God may have for us in this season of life as we are challenged to participate in minstries by, with, and for older adults.
Crescendo is not a program; it's a mindset. It's not an activity; it's an attitude. Each month Crescendo will offer opportunities for older adults to grow in all of these areas as they walk with Jesus and build His kingdom in this fruitful season of life.
As believers in Jesus Christ we have the privilege and the obligation to pray. What a fitting way to start 2021. And the rewards are so great!
Each group in the church is asked to pray together at some point during this week. A variety of prayer venues are offered including open prayer in the sanctuary, worship experiences, Zoom prayer rooms, and personal retreats. A description of these is found in the church calendar and January newsletter.
RSVP with the church office 241-4499 to sign up, or email Lynn Black at firstname.lastname@example.org.
